Regardless of residency status or nationality, the following conditions must be met:

① Must be a "non-resident".
② Purchase amount must be 5,500 yen (5,000 yen excluding tax) or higher.
③ Must present a passport (with a landing permission stamp)or one of the following permission documents:

• landing permission for cruise ship tourists
• landing permission for crew members
• permission for emergency landing
• landing permission due to distress

④ The products you purchase cannot be opened until after leaving the country.

※ Japanese customers who meet the above conditions and any of the following are eligible for tax-free.
To proceed, a passport with a "certificate stamp" is necessary.

• Individuals employed overseas.
• Individuals who have departed Japan with the intention of remaining abroad for more than 2 years.
• Individuals who have already resided outside of Japan for more than 2 years.

• When using an automated gate at the time of entry, if there is no entry stamp on the passport,
• entry date cannot be confirmed, and therefore cannot provide tax-free.
• If you plan to shop tax-free, please remember to request an entry stamp from the immigration officer when using the automated gate to enter the country.
